Preliminary reports indicate unusual symptoms, including foaming at the mouth, and an autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death, while one other individual is receiving hospital care [[1]].

A mother and her two children were found dead inside a home in North Jakarta on Friday, January 2, 2026, according to police. The discovery raises questions about the circumstances surrounding the deaths and prompted an immediate investigation.
“Preliminary information from the son, who returned home from work, indicates he found his family lying down and exhibiting a foaming at the mouth,” said North Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Unit Chief AKBP Onkoseno Grandiarso to reporters.
The son immediately sought help from neighbors, police said.

Police are currently questioning the son, who is being treated as a witness. Authorities are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The three bodies were discovered at a residence on Warakas III Gang 10, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, on Friday. Another individual was transported to a hospital for medical attention.
Investigators reported that the victims displayed foaming at the mouth and skin rashes.
