Hong Kong actress Jenny Wong recently opened up about the emotional toll of online criticism following previous cosmetic surgery, and is now documenting a new round of non-surgical procedures. Wong shared her experiences as part of a new program, revealing she’s been targeted by online commenters for decades. “My nose job was done 30 years ago, when I was first starting out and considered lovely,” she said. “But I didn’t realize I’d have to go back for repairs, and the doctor couldn’t even find the original surgeon’s work. Then the side effects started to appear – the silicone shrank and became distorted. Every time a new drama came out, the most common comments online were ‘failed plastic surgery,’ ‘ugly people are strange,’ and ‘fix this and that.’ Of course, it’s upsetting to read.” She admitted past experiences have made her cautious about undergoing further procedures.
Wong is now undergoing a “thread lift” procedure to improve her facial contours. Dr. Regina Ho explained the process: “A thread lift is an injection. The opening is about the size of a needle hole, and after the thread is inserted, it’s tightened. Even as the effect isn’t as dramatic as a facelift, it doesn’t require surgery.” Dr. Lee Jae-eun, who has 22 years of experience with facelift surgery, selected a “godly lifting thread” for Wong, which has four times the lifting power of traditional threads. The doctor noted that because of Wong’s age, a total of 14 injections were needed to achieve the desired effect. Wong winced with each needle piercing her skin. The results were immediately visible, with both sides of her face appearing noticeably firmer and more lifted, making her look a decade younger – a result that has many women considering similar procedures.

Fellow personalities Garmen Kwan and Chen Jiajia were visibly surprised by the immediate results. Kwan displayed a hesitant expression, weighing the potential benefits against the pain. Chen Jiajia admitted she was also considering cosmetic procedures, saying, “A thread lift is a cosmetic procedure that doesn’t require downtime and delivers instant results.
