Po roce od smrti Jiřího Krampola našli dědice: Výhra s hořkou pachutí!

Nearly eight months after the death of Jiří Krampol (†87), a search for his heirs has concluded with the discovery of a previously unknown relative. The late actor, a beloved figure in Czech entertainment, passed away in July 2025 and the process of identifying his legal successors proved unexpectedly lengthy.

According to reports, a notary public located a paternal relative of Krampol’s on the Kladno region. The heir is connected through Krampol’s mother’s side of the family, specifically a half-brother from her previous marriage. Krampol’s mother’s first husband had a son, Karel, who was ten years old when Jiří was born in 1938.

The Krampol family faced financial hardship during the actor’s childhood. His father, who worked for the Bata shoe company and spoke four languages, was struck by multiple sclerosis, forcing the family to move from a spacious apartment in Prague’s Vinohrady district to a single room in Žižkov. Krampol’s mother took a job at a newsstand to support the family.

The discovery of this relative comes after both of Krampol’s biological sons were adopted by their respective mothers’ subsequent husbands. This led notaries to focus their search on Krampol’s extended family.

Even as Krampol did not leave behind significant property holdings or large bank accounts, his estate includes ongoing royalties from his extensive film and television work. These royalties, a common source of income for Czech actors, can be substantial. Helena Růžičková, a contemporary of Krampol, reportedly receives between 300,000 and 400,000 Czech crowns annually in royalties.

The newly identified heir may also be responsible for settling an outstanding debt of 70,000 Czech crowns for rent at a care home near Tyn Church. The debt was initially covered by the son of Krampol’s fourth wife, Hanka, after his death in July 2025.
