Bestselling Author Kluun Launches Candid Survival Guide for Teens
Bestselling author Kluun is turning his attention to the complexities of adolescence, offering a humorous and relatable survival guide designed to help young adults navigate the treacherous waters of money, love, sex, and self-image. Driven by a desire to protect the next generation from the pitfalls of youth, Kluun admits that his own “moral compass wasn’t always well-adjusted,” providing a candid foundation for his advice to today’s teenagers.
This mission coincides with his return to the spotlight in the theater production “Help, ik heb een puber?” (Help, I have a teenager?). During a personal interview with presenter Pim Sedee on September 27, 2025, at Studio Sedee, the author explored the daily realities of raising teenagers and the emotional journey of aging. The conversation too touched upon deeply personal reflections, including the death of his first wife.
Kluun first captured national attention over twenty years ago with his truth-based novel “Komt een vrouw bij de dokter,” which famously left him as the “most famous adulterer in the Netherlands” following his associations with a certain prince. Now, he is leveraging his platform to blend entertainment with sharp social commentary, using his current projects to both amuse and confront his audience.
Beyond parenting and personal growth, Kluun continues to leverage his voice for advocacy, reiterating his fierce criticism of the tobacco industry, which he describes as engaging in “criminal” practices. This evolution from a provocative novelist to a mentor for young adults highlights the author’s growing focus on legacy and social responsibility.
