Explosions were heard in Kyiv on the morning of March 16, with authorities reporting that air defenses were active. The attacks resulted in damage across three districts of the city, including reports of grass fires.

Детали: Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko later specified that air defenses were particularly active in the Obolon district.
The capital had issued an air raid alert prior to the explosions. The Kyiv City Military Administration reported a threat from enemy unmanned aerial vehicles.

“There are no fires or casualties,” he said. “The enemy attack on Kyiv continues. Stay in shelters!”
Telegram channels reported that debris from a Russian drone fell near the Independence Monument.
Later, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, reported that the Russian attack had caused damage in three districts: Shevchenkivskyi, Solomianskyi, and Sviatoshynskyi.
“In the Solomianskyi district, parts of the enemy drone fell in an open area. In the Sviatoshynskyi district, debris fell on non-residential territory, and grass is on fire,” he noted.
At 9:57 a.m., the air raid alert was lifted. The danger lasted for one and a half hours.
