The grueling competition series “La isla: desafío extremo” is down to its final four contestants, who will compete for a grand prize of $200,000 on Monday’s live finale. The Telemundo reality show, filmed this season in Turkey, has captivated audiences with its intense physical and mental challenges. In a departure from traditional competition formats, Telemundo has announced prize money for all four finalists, ranging from $15,000 to $200,000.
After weeks of grueling challenges fueled by hunger, exhaustion, and makeshift beds on Playa Baja, the four finalists of Telemundo’s “La isla: desafío extremo” were revealed Sunday night.
Twenty contestants initially braved the competition as members of the Panteras, Águilas, and Tiburones teams. Last week, the competition narrowed to nine individuals, and now, only four will battle it out for the grand prize of $200,000 in Monday’s finale, December 1.
Puerto Rican contestant Nievelis González made it to the top five, but was eliminated just shy of the final round.

In a surprising twist, Telemundo announced that the winner won’t be the only one taking home a prize. The runner-up will receive $40,000, the third-place finisher will get $25,000, and the fourth-place contestant will earn $15,000.
The first season of “La isla: desafío extremo,” which took place in Turkey in 2024, crowned Cuban actor Adrián Di Monte as its champion. Reality competition shows continue to draw large audiences, and this season has been no exception.
Following the conclusion of this reality series, Telemundo will premiere the tenth season of the sports competition “Exatlón Estados Unidos” on Tuesday, December 2.
