In the fifth race, the first leg of Sunday’s major betting event, scheduled to begin at 3:10 PM, for national and imported horses aged six and over with one or two career wins, over a distance of 1,400 meters, ten horses were originally entered.

This Friday, the National Hippodrome Institute announced through its social media channels the first horse withdrawn from the competition: Decreto (6), trained by César Morón and bred at the ‘Siete Rajos JB’ Stud Farm, who was to be ridden by jockey Manuel Lira Jr.

The eight-year-old chestnut gelding was deemed to have lack of appetite, preventing him from competing in Sunday’s meeting. The horse most recently finished eighth with a troubled start in a race won by Dumpling. Decreto has 38 starts to his name with a single victory.
