Friday, March 20 KOLINGA + ESSIANA
La Souris Verte in Épinal is solidifying its position as a cultural hub in the Vosges region this March with a diverse lineup of events. From immersive electronic music nights to explorations of Afro-fusion and soul, and the launch of a new dub series, the venue is creating opportunities for audiences and artists to connect. This vibrant programming underscores the venue’s commitment to a thriving local music scene.
On Saturday, March 7, the PERMAFROST evening will transform the venue into a psychedelic experience from 10 PM to 5 AM. Organized in partnership with La Faîte and the Namek and Octotones associations, this edition promises to be both immersive and intense. World-renowned psytrance artist Talamasca is set to deliver a hypnotic live performance, drawing on over two decades of experience on international stages. Joining them is French producer Siloka, who will showcase a luminous psytrance sound characterized by groovy basslines and captivating melodies. Completing the lineup is DJ and producer Ahyoka, offering an introspective and sensory experience with deep textures and emotional trance.

The atmosphere shifts on Saturday, March 14, starting at 6:30 PM with Kuma Kura, Sokan Trio and Aïssate, in partnership with Agir Ensemble. Kuma Kura’s songs, performed in Bwamou, Mooré, Dioula and French, address themes of friendship, recognition, and the absurdity of conflict with a spirit of commitment and generosity. Sokan Trio will reimagine West African rhythms through a dialogue of traditional instruments – djembe, doumdoum, balafon, bara, kora – and vocals, even as Franco-Mauritanian artist Aïssate will blend reggae, folk and African traditions in a conscious and diverse offering.

On Friday, March 20, at 8:30 PM, Kolinga and Essiana will take the stage for an evening infused with afro-pop, jazz, and soul. Kolinga crafts an organic and polyphonic sound where French, English and Lingala intertwine, nurtured by Congolese rumba, jazz, soul and hip-hop. Opening for them, Essiana will deliver a nuanced R&B sound, somewhere between soul and trap, carried by a deep voice that transforms vulnerabilities into light.

Finally, on Saturday, March 21, from 8 PM to 4 AM, La Souris Verte and Wanty Faya Sound System will launch the first EPINAL DUB CLUB. To inaugurate the sound system’s new six-scoop configuration, the three Vosges friends have invited a constellation of artists and close collaborators – Haspard, Guru Pop, Mystical Rising, Dusty Wata, EDS, Mad Rooster and Lady Mad’J. Selectors, singers, musicians and operators will take turns around classics and exclusive compositions with a clear ambition: to firmly establish the dub sound system in the Vosges cultural landscape.
