A new initiative is inviting families to explore Latvian culture through a series of interactive games, printable artwork, and engaging multimedia content. The project aims to make learning about the country’s heritage fun and accessible for all ages.
Throughout the month of March, creative ideas are being shared daily. Participants are encouraged to submit photos of their creations to [email protected] by March 15th for a chance to be featured on LSM.lv’s parent and children section. Ten submissions will be randomly selected to receive a copy of the Bērnistaba book “Darbošanās grāmata visam gadam“.

- Create your own building for the Latvian National Museum of Art (LNMM)!
Introduce children to the LNMM!
Throughout March, a new educational and creative idea for children and adults will be published each day, focusing on:
- the museum building,
- artists,
- the museum’s history,
- paintings,
- sculptures,
- costumes and performances,
- the library,
- professions,
- technologies and other topics.
- Birthdays will also be celebrated and contests held.
The project is a collaboration with the LNMM
Print the LNMM model:
Cut out the drawing of the museum building and create a model. Place the model on a firm surface – paper, cardboard, or a tray. From small twigs, paper, yarn, fabric, or other materials, create trees and bushes around the museum building and glue them to the base.
Use printable and downloadable activities related to the LNMM collection.
Color the works virtually or print them out. Come up with a title for each piece. Create an art exhibition from the works and invite guests to the opening!
