Madars Razma defended his title at the Tukums Cup darts competition, a key event in the WINMAU Latvian Darts League, defeating Jānis Potašs 7-2 in the final. The tournament, held in March, brought together many of Latvia’s top darts players.

Razma had a relatively comfortable run to the final, winning his semifinal match against Mārcis Štolcers 6-2. Štolcers had previously made a remarkable comeback in the quarterfinal, winning the last three legs against Kristaps Micka. Even though, Razma faced tough challenges in the earlier rounds, needing to rally from behind to defeat Emīls Gulbis and Uģis Karasevs in close 11-leg matches.

Despite the loss, Potašs reaching the final is a significant achievement, especially considering he didn’t finish in the top eight of the B division at last year’s Tukums Cup. He secured his spot with a 6-3 semifinal victory over Ralfis Laumanis, the league’s second-ranked player. Potašs likewise had a hard-fought quarterfinal win against Roberts Buļko, prevailing in a lengthy eighth leg.

In the B division, Gints Kaļķis claimed the biggest win of his career so far, convincingly defeating U18 champion Ernests Buļko 5-1 in the final. Kaļķis had previously overcome Jānis Šaicāns 4-2 in the semifinals, while Buļko edged Kristiāns Dudkevičs 4-3 in a tight contest. Kaļķis demonstrated resilience throughout the tournament, battling back from 1-3 down against Kārlis Pokers in the round of sixteen and winning another seven-leg match against Jurģis Grabčiks in the quarterfinals.

The women’s competition saw Marta Roga, the top-ranked player, defeat Antra Ščeglova 4-0 in the semifinals. Anda Vīksna, the 2025 Dobeles Cup winner, continued her strong form with a 4-2 victory over Amanda Kirilova, the current year’s vice-champion and Victory Cup winner, after previously overcoming 2025 champion Irēna Bauze in a closely contested quarterfinal. Diāna Grabčika, the Bellevue Latvian Cup winner from November, also put up a strong fight against Kirilova in the quarterfinals.

Roga ultimately won the final 5-2, though the match was closely contested. Roga took the first two legs, but Vīksna, ranked third, fought back to win the next two in a hard-fought battle. Roga regained the lead at 3-2, and then closed out the match by winning the final two legs.

In the U23 group, Ralfis Laumanis defeated Marta Roga 4-1 in the semifinals, while Markuss Jansons overcame Domeniks Tabors with the same score. Laumanis then secured the title with a 4-1 victory over Jansons in the final, taking the last four legs after Jansons won the first.

The veterans 55+ competition saw Aigars Strēlis, this year’s champion, and Laimonis Naglis, the vice-champion, defeat Andi Lauva and Juri Alenčiks 4-2 respectively to reach the final. Strēlis won the final 4-3 in a rematch of the Latvian Championship final.
