Le Taillan-Médoc is set to host a vibrant celebration of musical theater with “The Most Beautiful Songs from Musicals” coming to the Polca on February 21st and 22nd.
The local association, Expressions en liberté, is presenting the new spectacle, promising an evening filled with classic tunes from beloved productions. The performance will feature 50 choristers from the invited choirs Arsac en chœur, CDC de Bordeaux and Troubadours de Libourne, alongside vocalists Pascal Viau and Fanny Larronde. Marco Bourgeois will direct the show.
Audiences can expect to hear songs from iconic musicals such as “Starmania,” “The Sun King,” “Notre-Dame de Paris,” “The Ten Commandments,” “Romeo and Juliet,” and even “Bernadette de Lourdes,” the recent co-production by Gad Elmaleh, with all musical arrangements for the choral adaptations handled by Bourgeois. This production highlights the enduring appeal of musical theater and its ability to draw large community participation.
“The Most Beautiful Songs from Musicals” will be performed on Saturday, February 21st at 9:00 PM and Sunday, February 22nd at 2:30 PM at the Polca.
