Lenovo unveiled a new generation of adaptive AI devices and forward-looking concepts at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026, signaling a broader shift in personal computing toward systems that intelligently adapt to users and their environments. The showcase included a modular PC architecture, a glasses-free 3D laptop concept, a foldable gaming handheld and the initial rollout of Lenovo Qira, the company’s new personal ambient intelligence platform.
The company is focusing on delivering more personalized, proactive, and secure technology while building a unified AI ecosystem that seamlessly connects devices, according to a press release. This move reflects the growing trend of embedding AI directly into hardware for a more intuitive user experience.
“The AI era will not be defined by a single device or application, but by intelligent systems that operate seamlessly across everything we use,”
said Luca Rossi, President, Intelligent Devices Group, Lenovo.
“We are demonstrating how Lenovo and Motorola are bringing that vision to life, combining adaptive hardware innovation with a single, unified system-level AI integration that works naturally across PCs, smartphones, tablets, wearables, and beyond. From premium mobile devices and transformative form factors, to the rollout of Lenovo Qira, we are building the widest AI portfolio that delivers more connected, more intuitive personal computing experiences designed around people.”
Lenovo Qira: Personal Ambient Intelligence
Lenovo Qira is a Personal Ambient Intelligence built into the system level and directly integrated into Lenovo and Motorola devices, rather than functioning as a standalone application. Designed to maintain continuity between tasks and devices, Lenovo Qira assists users based on their intent across supported PCs, tablets, smartphones, and wearables.
Starting in the coming weeks, Lenovo Qira will be available on more than 20 Lenovo PC models, including the Yoga™, IdeaPad™, Legion™ and ThinkPad™ families, through network updates and pre-installed software. This includes the launch of the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2, Lenovo’s first tablet to offer the experience.
Initial PC support will be available in nine regions across six languages: English (USA, UK, India), Spanish (USA/Latin America, Spain), French (France), Italian (Italy), German (Germany), and Portuguese (Brazil). Lenovo Qira is designed to continuously evolve and expand to more devices, enabling new experiences and partnerships. Further expansion to additional languages and devices, including a debut on Motorola smartphones, is planned for 2026, furthering the unified AI ecosystem between Lenovo and Motorola.
Breakthrough Concepts: Exploring Adaptive Designs
- ThinkBook™ Modular AI PC Concept: Lenovo showcased a modular AI PC concept exploring a selective modular approach to business computing, built around the idea of “small footprint, substantial impact.” The concept features a 14-inch, ultra-thin base unit designed to support interchangeable display configurations, detachable input components, and modular I/O elements. A secondary display can be connected in multiple orientations or replace the keyboard, expanding the workspace to approximately 19 inches while maintaining portability. The concept demonstrates how a modular architecture can support evolving workflows and extended device lifecycles in AI-ready environments.
- Yoga Book Pro 3D Concept: Lenovo also presented a glasses-free 3D laptop concept designed to allow content creators to visualize and manipulate depth directly on the screen. Combining a dual display, AI-powered 2D-to-3D conversion, gesture control, and intuitive creative controls, the concept reduces friction in immersive content creation and highlights Lenovo’s research in spatial computing experiences.
- Legion Proceed Fold Concept: A foldable handheld gaming console concept further expands Lenovo’s experimentation with adaptable hardware. The device transforms from a compact handheld form factor into a larger, immersive screen, supporting multiple usage modes including handheld gaming, split-screen multitasking, extended display gaming, and desktop-style interaction. The concept showcases how flexible display technology can enable hybrid gaming and productivity experiences within a single device.
