The water utility company, Sedapal, announced the temporary interruption of water service in several districts of Lima between March 12th and March 18th due to maintenance work on the sanitary network.
The company explained that these cuts are in response to the cleaning of reservoirs and decanter No. 4 at Plant No. 2, work necessary to guarantee water quality and the proper functioning of the infrastructure.
According to the company, the service will be suspended at different times – from 8:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., or 12:00 p.m. – depending on the district and affected area.
In most cases, service will be restored on the same day around 4:30 p.m. Or 8:00 p.m., although the schedule may vary depending on the progress of the work.
Sedapal recommended that residents of the affected areas take precautions and store water in advance to cover their needs during the hours of service interruption.
Districts and areas affected:
Chaclacayo
Date and time: March 12th, from 8:00 a.m. To 8:00 p.m.
Affected areas: Urb. El Cuadro (sectors R2, R3, R4 and R5), sector 157.
La Molina
Date and time: March 12th to March 18th, from 10:30 a.m. To 4:30 p.m.
Affected areas: the entire district (sectors 77, 166, 167, 168, 170, 171 and 172).
Santa Anita
Date and time: March 12th to March 18th, from 10:30 a.m. To 4:30 p.m.
Affected areas: Av. De la Cultura, Carretera Central, Av. Colectora Industrial, Av. Huancaray and Urb. Los Chancas de Andahuaylas (sectors 77, 166, 167, 168, 170, 171 and 172).
Ate
Date and time: March 12th to March 18th, from 10:30 a.m. To 4:30 p.m.
Affected areas: Urb. Mayorazgo, Urb. La Merced and areas between Av. Nicolás Ayllón, Av. Evitamiento, Av. Circunvalación, Av. Separadora Industrial and Av. Las Torres (sectors 21, 22, 23, 24, 179, 180 and 181).
Sedapal has scheduled a temporary suspension of water service in sector 151 of the Huaycán settlement (zone S, zone H), from 6:00 a.m. To 2:00 p.m. Today, Thursday, March 12th.
San Luis and San Borja

Affected areas: Av. Nicolás Arriola, Av. Circunvalación, Av. Javier Prado and Av. San Luis (sector 3).
Chorrillos

Affected areas: sectors 91, 92 and 97.
Santiago de Surco

San Juan de Lurigancho

Sedapal Statement
In a statement, Sedapal informed that the scheduled interruptions of water service are being carried out as part of technical work aimed at strengthening the infrastructure and ensuring the continuity of water and sanitation services in Lima and Callao.
These actions are part of the maintenance and improvement work carried out by the company to guarantee the quality, continuity and efficiency of the service in the long term, allowing more families to have a safer supply system, the statement added.
In that sense, the company urged the population to be informed in a timely manner, through its official channels, about the scheduled interruptions.
