Reports from Spain indicate that former Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso, 44, has set a condition for taking the helm at Liverpool: the acquisition of young playmaker Arda Güler, 20, from Real Madrid.

According to sources cited by Fichajes, Alonso wants the Turkish international to join him at Anfield should he become the Reds’ next manager.

Liverpool is too reportedly preparing a significant bid for Newcastle and England star Anthony Gordon, 24, with multiple offensive reinforcements expected at the Premier League champions. Fichajes reports the club is preparing a new offer for the winger.

The Reds are said to be willing to pay £83 million – over $1.07 billion – for the former Everton player, positioning him as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, 33. This substantial investment underscores Liverpool’s ambition to maintain its attacking prowess.

Liverpool defender Joe Gomez, 28, may also be on the move this summer, having spent nearly eleven years with the club. Caught Offside reports that both AC Milan and Bayern Munich are admirers of the center-back.

Newcastle United is showing interest in signing Hugo Bueno, 23, from Wolverhampton, according to Football Insider. The left-back recently scored his first Premier League goal in Wolves’ surprising 2-2 draw against league-leading Arsenal.

Teamtalk reports that both Tottenham and Newcastle are targeting Darwin Núñez, 26, formerly of Liverpool. The Uruguayan striker currently plays for Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, but has been excluded from the club’s squads for both league and cup competitions following the arrival of Karim Benzema, 38, from rival Al-Ittihad.

Spurs and interim manager Igor Tudor are also reportedly interested in Pavel Sulc, 25, a Czech midfielder at Lyon, according to the Daily Mail. Aston Villa is also said to be in the running for the player.

Marcos Senesi, 28, a Bournemouth center-back, has impressed this season and is now a top target for Roma and Juventus, reports Correire dello Sport.

Earlier this weekend, reports surfaced of Everton’s interest in Chelsea forward Liam Delap, 23. Teamtalk claims the Merseyside club is preparing a bid of over £387 million to secure the former Ipswich player, who previously played for Manchester City.

Finally, Crystal Palace continues its search for a replacement for manager Oliver Glasner. It’s an open secret that Glasner and Palace have experienced collaboration issues, and this season is likely to be the Austrian’s last at Selhurst Park.

Football Insider reports that Palace is attempting to persuade former England manager Gareth Southgate to take over on an interim basis until the end of the season.
