Bulgarian football could soon see another financially robust club join Ludogorets and CSKA, boasting a modern stadium to match.
French investors are reportedly eyeing a potential investment in Lokomotiv Plovdiv, holding discussions with club owner Hristo Krusharski. According to “Match Telegraph,” the executive director of the French group even visited the “Lauta” stadium, signaling a strong interest in the club, nicknamed “the Smurfs.”
Meanwhile, Dušan Kosič’s Lokomotiv side prepares to host Septemvri today. A boost for the Croatian manager is the return of Efe Ali to training following a spell on the sidelines with an injury. Argentinian defender Enzo Espinosa is also back in Plovdiv after undergoing a successful operation in Sofia to address a torn meniscus and partial ACL tear. He is unlikely to feature for Lokomotiv for the remainder of the season.
To bolster the squad, Kosič has called up Dimitar Mrankov and Radoslav Palazov from the youth team.
Lokomotiv will be without Catalin Itu, Dimitar Iliev, Kaloyan Kostov, Longvil, and the aforementioned Espinosa due to injury for today’s match.
