London, United Kingdom – A series of arson attacks targeting ambulances belonging to a Jewish volunteer organization has prompted a police investigation in North London. Authorities are treating the incident as an antisemitic hate crime, according to reports.

Four ambulances operated by Hatzola, a non-profit providing emergency medical assistance in the heavily Jewish neighborhood of Golders Green, were set ablaze and destroyed overnight on Sunday, March 22nd, and Monday, March 23rd, 2026. The incident has raised concerns within the Jewish community and beyond, highlighting a worrying trend of antisemitism in the United Kingdom.

Police are currently reviewing security footage and images circulating online, which appear to show individuals in masks dousing the vehicles with flammable liquid. “We are currently looking for 3 suspects,” stated a police spokesperson. No arrests have been made at this time.

The London Metropolitan Police confirmed the investigation, with Police Agent Sarah Jackson stating, “This attack causes a great deal of concern in the community.” The fire department was able to extinguish the flames quickly, preventing further damage to surrounding properties. Nearby residents were temporarily evacuated as a precaution.

Hatzola provides crucial, rapid medical response within the Golders Green area, which has been a center of Jewish life in London since 1979. The loss of these ambulances will undoubtedly impact the organization’s ability to serve the community effectively.

This incident follows a recent pattern of antisemitic acts in the UK, including a synagogue attack in Manchester and an explosion at a Jewish school in Amsterdam earlier this month. The development underscores growing anxieties about the safety and security of Jewish communities in Europe.
