March is dedicated to colorectal cancer prevention, and healthcare professionals are emphasizing the simplicity, speed, and free availability of screening. Kits can be obtained from a doctor, pharmacist, or online since 2022. Organizations and healthcare providers are collaborating to raise awareness, hosting an information event on March 25th at the Scorff Hospital, offering dietary and exercise advice.
Early detection is crucial for improving outcomes in colorectal cancer, a leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide.
Creative Workshop for Carnival Preparations
Workshops are open to the public to create props for the grand parade on March 28th, themed “Around the World in 80 Days.” Participants can contribute to the creation of decorations and costumes in a friendly atmosphere. “Creating a Mobile Habitat” Workshop
A workshop for children ages 7-12 will focus on designing a mobile habitat inspired by the architectural and transportation concepts of artist Jules Verne. Conference on Performance Art
A conference exploring the intersection of performing and visual arts will be held on March 25th at 7:00 PM at the Manège, 12 Rue Colbert. The event, organized by the associations J’ai vu un documentaire and Psit Tadaa, is free to attend. Performance art, born from a desire to break down barriers between disciplines, uses situations, bodies, and reimagined spaces as its starting point.
Theater Performance: “The Blood Tree”
The Lorient Theater will present Angus Cerini’s intense work, directed by Tommy Milliot, on Wednesday, March 26th at 8:00 PM in the Marguerite Duras hall, located at 11 Rue Claire Droneau. The play tells the story of a mother and her two daughters who decide to break free from the tyranny of their father. Tickets range from €10 to €25.
