Egyptian actor Majed El Masry sustained an injury while filming a stunt for his upcoming Ramadan series, “Awlad Al Ra’i,” according to reports.
The incident occurred during the performance of an action sequence, prompting a 24-hour halt to filming while El Masry’s health was assessed. He has since returned to set, sources say.
A source close to the production revealed that El Masry insisted on performing the stunt himself and declined the director’s offer to use a stunt double, adding that the injury was not serious.
The production company of “Awlad Al Ra’i” recently addressed accusations of plagiarism regarding the show’s initial poster, releasing a fresh version following claims that it mirrored a design from a Turkish series.
“Awlad Al Ra’i” is slated to air during Ramadan 2026. The series promises a compelling narrative, and El Masry’s dedication to his craft—even when facing physical challenges—underscores the commitment to delivering a high-quality production. The show is expected to be a major draw during the traditionally popular viewing season.
