A man in his 30s was hospitalized Monday after being stabbed in Norrköping, Sweden, in what police are investigating as a robbery.

According to Linus Maxe, a commander with the regional command center, police received a call around 2:05 PM local time regarding the incident on Bäckgatan in Hageby. “Around 2:05 we received a call about a person being stabbed on Bäckgatan,” Maxe said. “It turned out that the victim had been stabbed.”

The victim, a 35-year-old man, was transported to a hospital, and his condition remains unknown at this time. Police say the man was also robbed of money during the attack, leading to the case being classified as aggravated robbery.

The investigation is ongoing, and further details have not yet been released. This incident underscores the challenges facing law enforcement in addressing violent crime in the region.
