Sharing the announcement with her followers on Instagram, Woelkens posted a photo showcasing her baby bump. “My little boy is becoming a big brother,” she wrote, marking a recent chapter for her growing household.
The news follows previous indications that the presenter was open to growing her family. In a past interview with De Telegraaf, the former editor-in-chief of LINDA.meiden mentioned she was not yet “done” having children, stating that she would gladly do it again and felt confident in her ability to handle motherhood independently.
Woelkens shares her first son, born four years ago, with her ex-partner Thorn de Vries. She has previously been open about the journey to motherhood, explaining that as a “queer family,” a biological child together was not possible, and they welcomed their son with the help of a donor. To maintain privacy, she has never publicly disclosed her child’s name.
The pregnancy announcement comes after a period of significant personal transition. On April 26, 2024, it was confirmed that Woelkens and de Vries, who were previously engaged, were no longer a couple. Following the split, Woelkens embraced her new role on Instagram, posting a photo with her son and captioning it, “New era. Solo mom life. I got this!”
While it has not been disclosed if Woelkens has a partner, the news adds to a successful year for the presenter. Earlier this year, she emerged as the winner of the first edition of the program Pandora.
