March arrives with sunshine and a feeling of spring
The first ten days of March are expected to begin with predominantly sunny and warm weather, with maximum temperatures reaching, and in some places exceeding, 15 degrees Celsius (59 degrees Fahrenheit). Temperatures will remain lower along the Black Sea coast and in low-lying areas and valleys, where low clouds or fog may be present during the morning.
Around March 3rd and continuing through the 5th and 6th, an increase in cloud cover is anticipated, though significant precipitation is not expected. Daytime temperatures will experience a slight decrease. Towards the conclude of the first ten days, a change in atmospheric circulation will bring increased dynamic weather conditions, including rainfall and cooler temperatures. There is a small chance of significant rainfall in some areas. Initially, snow will fall above 1500-1600 meters, with the rain-snow line gradually lowering and potentially creating temporary snow cover.
The second ten days will start with a low probability of precipitation, offering sunny intervals and temporary increases in cloud cover. Temperatures will be near and slightly above average for this time of year.
Around the middle of the period, the likelihood of rainfall increases across much of the country, accompanied by a drop in temperatures. The latter half of the ten days will see more breaks in the clouds and a return to sunnier conditions, along with warmer temperatures. An increased chance of precipitation is also expected around March 19th.
The third ten days are forecast to have temperatures close to the climatic norms. The period is expected to begin with more sunshine across most of the country. After March 23rd, the weather will become more changeable, with frequent rainfall. There is a possibility of more intense and substantial rainfall events during this time.
The astronomical beginning of spring is on March 20th at 4:46 PM.
