Bombeiro ‘Dudu’ Wants to Vacation at Late Singer Marco Paulo’s Homes: “I’m an Heir, I Have the Right!”

The unexpected beneficiary in the estate of the late Portuguese singer Marco Paulo, Eduardo Ferreira – affectionately known as “Dudu” – is asserting his right to enjoy the perks of his inheritance, including spending time at the singer’s properties. The news has captivated audiences in Portugal, highlighting the complexities of estate distribution and the surprising connections artists sometimes forge.

Ferreira, a 40-year-old firefighter from Braga, first gained attention after a video of him and his colleagues singing Paulo’s ballad “Na Hora do Adeus” went viral in 2020. According to reports, he began receiving funds from the estate in February 2026.

“I’m also an heir, I have the right!” Ferreira reportedly stated, expressing his desire to use the homes as a vacation destination.

Marco Paulo passed away in October 2024 and his will revealed Ferreira as a recipient of 10% of his estate, a decision that surprised many. Conceição Silva, Ferreira’s wife, is expected to manage his portion of the inheritance, according to TV Guia.

Yet, Ferreira is also questioning the whereabouts of other assets, specifically gold and sacred art that were reportedly part of Paulo’s estate, as reported by CM Jornal. He is currently receiving funds from the estate, but not the full inheritance amount, according to Flash.

The singer’s estate was also to be divided with his close friend António, according to CM Jornal.

The unfolding situation continues to draw attention to the intricacies of celebrity estates and the unexpected beneficiaries who sometimes emerge.
