According to recent reports, Mark Delanote has joined KPMG Law as a partner, bringing a deep background in fiscal law and public policy to the firm. The appointment underscores a strategic focus on enhancing the firm’s capabilities in complex tax procedures and wealth management.
Delanote is a recognized authority in the field, serving as an associate professor at the Tax Law Institute within Ghent University’s (UGent) Faculty of Law & Criminology. His academic contributions are centered on registration and inheritance taxes, as well as tax procedures. He holds a PhD in law, with a dissertation specifically focused on tax collection law and possesses additional certifications in social and company law.
In addition to his academic tenure, Delanote has maintained a significant professional presence through Delanote Law, where he specializes in fiscal optimization, wealth planning, and legal procedures. His practice focuses on providing strategic guidance to corporate entities and high-net-worth individuals.
Delanote’s experience also extends into the regulatory and governmental spheres. Since November 2017, he has been a member of the High Council of Finance. He has contributed his expertise to several parliamentary committees, including those investigating the Panama and Kazakhgate cases.
