Marselino & Jenner Confirmed for Indonesia U-23 SEA Games 2025 Squad

Indonesia’s preparations for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand have received a notable boost with the confirmation that key players Marselino Ferdinan and Ivar Jenner will be available for selection. Following positive negotiations with their respective clubs, both players have been officially cleared to join the U-23 national team, according to Head of the National Team Body Sumardji. The team faces a challenging group C draw against Myanmar, the Philippines, and Singapore as they aim to defend their gold medal from the 2023 edition [[1]].

Marselino Ferdinan and Ivar Jenner are officially cleared to represent Indonesia’s U-23 national team at the SEA Games 2025 in Thailand this December. The confirmation came from the Head of the National Team Body (BTN), Sumardji, on Monday, November 17th.

“We’ve reached a very positive point in our communication with Marselino’s club,” Sumardji stated.

Sumardji further confirmed that Marselino’s name is already on the final roster for the Indonesian U-23 team competing in the SEA Games.

“Yes, that’s correct. His name was already on the list,” Sumardji added.



Sumardji also reported that Marselino is currently in good condition and prepared to join the team.

“He’s doing well, very well,” Sumardji said.

Marselino is scheduled to join the Indonesian national team in November.

“We’ve scheduled Marselino to depart from his club later this November. If we depart from here on the 27th, we expect to meet up with him in Thailand,” Sumardji explained.

In addition, Sumardji confirmed that Ivar Jenner will also be available to play for the Indonesian U-23 team at the 2025 SEA Games.

“Yes, he will be. Communication with all the players’ respective clubs has been very positive, as we discussed from the beginning,” Sumardji stated.

Indonesia has been drawn into Group C for the 2025 SEA Games, alongside Myanmar, the Philippines, and Singapore. The tournament is a key proving ground for young Indonesian talent as they aim for regional supremacy.
