Mauricio Pinilla, former forward for Universidad de Chile and the Chilean National Team, has announced a new development in his professional life.
Amidst a challenging financial situation following a bankruptcy declaration due to debts exceeding $1.67 million, the athlete has become the new brand ambassador for Automotora Freddy Vizanskis, a company specializing in the sale of used vehicles, particularly high-end models. The move comes as Pinilla navigates a court-ordered liquidation of assets to address outstanding financial obligations.
As part of the agreement, Pinilla will receive a vehicle from the company for personal use.
Pinilla’s New Vehicle
During a visit to the dealership, Mauricio Pinilla selected a 2015 Mercedes Benz C180. “They have a great variety of vehicles, and I chose this one as it suits my needs best,” he explained. According to Chileautos.cl, the vehicle is valued at $13,990,000.

“I’m happy to be the new ambassador for Automotora Freddy Vizanskis. It’s a renowned and reliable dealership with a long history in the industry and supported by several well-known television personalities. I’m grateful for the opportunity during these difficult times,” Pinilla stated.
The announcement generated reactions from several former soccer players and teammates of Pinilla, including Esteban Paredes, Jaime Valdés, and Johnny Herrera, who offered their congratulations.
