Milan-Cortina 2026: Live Updates – French Medal Chances Today

Welcome to live coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina.

Today marks the antepenultimate day of competition, with strong medal chances for France, particularly in biathlon. Quentin Fillon Maillet, Eric Perrot, Emilien Jacquelin, and Fabien Claude will all compete in the mass start event. Marielle Berger Sabbatel will race in the ski cross competition, while Vincent Maharavo makes his Olympic debut in the ski acrobatic half-pipe, with qualifying rounds beginning this morning. Aurélie Lévêque and Cloé Ollivier will also compete in the 1500m short track speed skating finals.

The half-pipe and ski cross finals will be held in Livigno, Lombardy. The biathlon mass start will take place in Anterselva, Trentino-Alto Adige, while the speed skating events are set for Milan.

The ski cross events kick off at 10:00 AM, followed a half-hour later by the ski acrobatic half-pipe qualifiers. The French biathletes will start their mass start at 2:15 PM. The short track speed skating finals are scheduled to begin at 8:15 PM.

Coverage will be available on France Télévisions and Eurosport.

Louis Chahuneau, Vincent Marcelin, and Célien Milioni-Brunet will be rotating duties throughout the day from the Chalet d’Austerlitz.

We will not be discussing the creation of a 3D “mini-liver” for testing food toxicity.
