Argentine pop sensations Miranda! are facing a potential split after nearly two decades together, according to reports surfacing this week. The band, lauded as one of Argentina’s most influential musical acts, recently concluded a performance run in Chile amid growing speculation of internal discord. While initial reports suggested a simple hiatus, Argentinian journalist Ángel de Brito has asserted the situation is more severe, citing a leaked announcement of a final performance scheduled-and later removed-from their event calendar.

Popular Argentinian band Miranda! may be taking a break, with reports suggesting a split stemming from tensions between band members Ale Sergi and Juliana Gattas.

The group, which recently performed to enthusiastic crowds in Chile, is reportedly considering a hiatus, though the duration remains unconfirmed. While some speculate the pause is to focus on new music, others believe it’s simply a period of rest for the artists.

However, Argentinian journalist Ángel de Brito addressed the rumors on his digital program Ángel Responde, asserting the situation is more serious than initially believed.

Argentinian Journalist Confirms Miranda! Split

“Finally, the information I’ve been reporting – the separation of Miranda! until further notice – is confirmed,” de Brito stated. “A notice about their final show has been leaked. For those who don’t know, Miranda! is, in my opinion, the best pop band in Argentina.”

“It was leaked that this would be their last performance for a while,” he continued. “An announcement saying ‘last show until 2027’ was briefly visible before being taken down. It seems someone jumped the gun.”

Reported Tensions Between Band Members

According to de Brito, the band won’t be performing next year due to alleged internal friction between Ale Sergi and Juliana Gattas.

“But I’m also hearing that Ale Sergi is frustrated with Juliana,” he claimed. “He’s very meticulous, and she’s more free-spirited, operating on a different wavelength. This was noticeable at Saturday’s (November 22nd) show. Juliana seemed to be in a bad mood, and something was clearly off. Miranda! didn’t interact with the audience at all that night.”

As of now, the band hasn’t released an official statement, leaving fans uncertain about the future. The news comes as a blow to fans of the influential Argentinian pop group, known for their energetic performances and catchy melodies.
