Hungarian actor Molnár Gusztáv has responded to news of an arrest warrant issued against him, confirming it relates to a years-old case. The development comes as Molnár and his wife are expecting their first child and recently traveled to Cyprus.

Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, and I will be celebrating it with Dorina. And to the mother of my son and the police officer husband: stop it, thanks!

Authorities issued the warrant due to allegations of endangering a minor, though Molnár maintains he was unaware of the order and intends to collect the court documents upon his return home. The case highlights the ongoing legal challenges faced by the actor.

Reports indicate that Molnár Gusztáv is currently awaiting the arrival of his daughter with his eight-months-pregnant wife, Mucsi Dorina, when the warrant appeared on the police website while the couple was on a short trip to Cyprus.

The allegations stem from accusations of child abuse made years ago by his former wife, Dancsecs Ildikó, concerning their son, with whom Molnár says he hasn’t had contact for approximately two years. Molnár emphasized that the arrest warrant is a continuation of the previous case, not a new development.

I just spoke with the Gödöllő District Court, because I was surprised to learn I’m wanted, and I wasn’t even aware of this. I was told that a decision wasn’t received, which may have happened because it was sent to a previous address. Despite my attempts to resolve this remotely, saying I could handle it through my client portal, unfortunately, I can only receive this document in person.

Molnár told Bors that he had previously received a police decision stating the case was closed, but subsequent reports were filed against him.

“According to the reports, my lifestyle and publications about my alcoholism were said to have a negative impact on my son,” Molnár Gusztáv explained, adding that upon their return, his first stop will be the district court to receive the decision.

Fears of Arrest Upon Return

Molnár Gusztáv expressed concern for his wife, stating that he anticipates any scenario upon landing, but hopes authorities will consider her condition.

Unfortunately, it’s possible that police will take me from the airport when we return, but I hope they’ll at least take my eight-month-pregnant wife home so she doesn’t have to carry the luggage. Obviously, this isn’t pleasant, but it was nice to have some peace recently. Despite that, I’m just laughing about the whole thing. What bothers me is that my pregnant wife is here with me, even though she knows there’s nothing new under the sun, and Here’s just a consequence of an old case from years ago.

He did not specify when they plan to return home.
