MONSTER HUNTER WILDS is celebrating its first anniversary with a month-long series of events, including the addition of “Arch-Tempered Arkveld” on February 18, 2026. The game’s developers have released a comprehensive overview of the updates, available here.
A new update, 1.041, will be released on February 18, 2026 and all players will receive a first-anniversary login bonus. A variety of in-game events are also planned. The growing popularity of Monster Hunter Wilds demonstrates the continued demand for immersive, cooperative gaming experiences.

First Anniversary Events
Event Period: February 18 – March 19, 2026 (Thursday)
Special Gift: The Hunter Appreciation Pack will be available to all players who log in during the event period. (One-time only reward).
Character & Palico Edit Voucher (Free): All players will receive a free Character & Palico Edit Voucher after the update. This can be downloaded from the digital storefront on all platforms, even if players previously received a free voucher during the game’s launch.
The Festival of Accord Returns!
Previous seasonal events will rotate weekly, offering players the chance to obtain limited-time items, including special equipment previously available as login bonuses and other rewards. Players can enjoy the changing seasons within the Grand Hub!

The major update will also introduce Arch-Tempered Arkveld (★10) (HR 100+), available in a permanent event quest starting February 18. A new free challenge quest will be available on March 19. The ★10 quests will provide players with:
– Timeworn Charms (with a chance to yield rare Talismans)
– Battle-tempered Emblems (used to empower Gogma Artian weapons)
In addition to Arkveld, other top-tier monsters from the Forbidden Land will also be available as ★10 challenges, along with special high-difficulty Hunt-a-thon quests! These quests will unlock after completing the Arch-tempered Arkveld ★10 quest and all special environment quests.
Winners of the Original Weapon & Pendant Design Contest will be available starting February 18.

Collaboration: Monster Hunter Stories 3 – Twisted Reflection will be available with the update on February 18, 2026
Players can participate in special events to receive:
– Palico equipment designed after Rudy – Royal Palico
– Monstie-themed pendants
Side Mission: A Royal Request
Players with an HR of 9 or higher will find NPC Sole at Scarlet Forest camp with a new quest. Completing it will unlock a special quest to deliver Monstie eggs to camp, with rarer eggs yielding better rewards!
Rewards include:
– Palico armor sets / Layered Armor (Rudy Costume α)
– Pendants (random selection)
– Hunter Profile (backgrounds / poses / nameplates)
**Note: Some rewards are obtained through main quests, while others are available through side quests.
Special Side Missions
Team up with support hunter Nadia in a new Co-op quest! Completing it will grant players Nadia’s armor set.
New events every week! Prepare for a variety of quests, including:
– Quests that offer special pendants
– Quests for the least-hunted monsters
– Quests to obtain the Gala Suit α
– And Felyne Star α equipment for Palicos!
Finally, the development team, led by producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, announced they are currently developing a large-scale expansion for the game, with official information to be revealed this summer. Stay tuned for further updates.
