MusicÔvignes 2024: Dates, Lineup & New Features in Cressier

The MusicÔvignes festival is sticking to its roots as an intimate and community-focused event. Organizers unveiled plans for the third edition on Thursday, announcing it will expand to two days – August 21 and 22 – held in the gardens of the Cave des Lauriers in Cressier. The expansion comes on the heels of the success of the first two years, but the festival will maintain its capped attendance.

A Regional and Eclectic Lineup

MusicÔvignes is committed to maintaining its identity as a locally-focused festival, and that’s reflected in its musical programming. Of the 15 artists slated to perform across the festival’s two stages, 12 are Swiss. “The 2024 lineup continues to offer what we’ve presented since the first edition – primarily Swiss artists alongside international performers,” explained Nicolas Fallet.

Headlining the Swiss talent is Zoë Më, who represented Switzerland at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest with her song “Voyage.” She’ll capture the stage Friday evening, preceding Belgian pop singer Mentissa, who rose to prominence on the 2020 season of The Voice France. Saturday will feature a performance by English artist Tom Gregory, known for his popular pop hits. Opening each night will be Fribourg-based Velantane on Friday and the Chaux-de-Fons group Attic Foundation on Saturday, tasked with building a direct connection with the audience.

The Vignes stage will continue to showcase emerging talent, offering a diverse range of genres from Neuchâtel’s Hugs and Stitches to Klub Mathé from Schaffhausen, encompassing rock, pop, and electronic music.

New Support System and Enhanced Collaboration

Beyond the two-day format, MusicÔvignes is introducing two new initiatives this year. The first is a support club, dubbed “La Grappe,” offering a support ticket that includes a wine tasting at the Cave des Lauriers’ wine cellar and a unique experience – access to concerts on the Château terrace stage. “This is something festival-goers requested,” said Nicolas Fallet. “People wish to support us in different ways.”

The committee president also expressed excitement about expanding the collaboration, which began last year, with the Revista workshop of the Fondation Les Perce-Neige. Members of the workshop are responsible for producing videos and photos, and creating visuals for social media and on-site displays during the festival. “This is very key to us and aligns with what we want to highlight at MusicÔvignes,” Fallet concluded. /lgn
