Olav Nils Sunde has been named an honorary member of Aalesunds FK (AaFK), the club announced on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
The recognition was bestowed upon Sunde during AaFK’s annual general meeting. Sunnmørsposten reports that Sunde’s dedication to the club spanned twelve years, initially intended as a short-term commitment.
“I was only going to pitch in for a little while, maybe two years or so,” Sunde said, according to Sunnmørsposten. “But then it turned into twelve.”
The appointment of an honorary member signifies a deep appreciation for long-standing contributions to the team, a gesture that acknowledges individuals who have significantly impacted the club’s history and development.
