Bulgarian television personality Natalie Trifonova is returning to the stage in the musical “The Producers” after a several-month break following the birth of her son. The return marks a new chapter for Trifonova, who recently shared details about motherhood and her career transition.
In her first interview since becoming a mother, given to bTV’s “This Saturday and Sunday,” Trifonova spoke candidly about adjusting to life as a new parent. “What we have is actually my first interview since I became a mother and since I’m now behind the scenes,” she said.
Trifonova revealed she learned she was pregnant during rehearsals for the musical. “I found out during the rehearsal process, after I had already agreed to participate. There was no way I could back out, so I decided to perform two shows,” she explained.
The television host described the significant shift in her daily life since the birth of her son, Aaron, on September 23, 2025. “Everything is now secondary. There’s a little person who is the most important thing. And everything is entirely focused on him,” Trifonova stated.
Despite the demands of motherhood, Trifonova said the late nights haven’t been a struggle, drawing on her experience with early morning shifts at the television station. “I perceive I’m more relaxed. I now understand what the important things are and that there’s no point in wasting energy unnecessarily,” she shared.
The choice of her son’s name sparked public discussion. “I read that many people were excited about my choice. Well, I just liked it. Given that his second and third names are Martin Choy, somehow Georgi and Martin Choy didn’t sound right. In general, no Bulgarian names sounded good in combination with Martin Choy. So I suppose people will agree with me that an international name suits that surname better. I really like it. I imagine him as a cool man someday with the name Aaron. Masculine. And so, I like it. And Aaron Martin Choy sounds great as a combination, in my opinion,” Trifonova commented.
Trifonova also acknowledged the support of Aaron’s father, Martin Choy, in raising their son. “And I am very grateful, because it would be more difficult for me without his help,” she admitted.
Regarding her role in “The Producers,” Trifonova said she has no issues with the dancing, and colleagues helped her with the singing. “Don’t expect any amazing singing from me, but my role allows for not-so-precise singing,” she explained.
The return to the stage represents a balance between Trifonova’s professional life and her new role as a mother, demonstrating the challenges and rewards of navigating both worlds.
