DS Automobiles is renewing its model lineup with the arrival of the DS N°7, replacing the DS 7, the brand’s best-selling vehicle. The new SUV, positioned in the premium compact segment, will be available in both electric and hybrid versions, the company announced on March 17, 2026.
The DS N°7 boasts an all-electric model, the E-TENSE FWD LONG RANGE, offering a range of up to 740 km (approximately 460 miles) on the WLTP combined cycle. This model features a battery manufactured in France at the ACC Gigafactory. A HYBRID 145 version will also be offered, recording emissions starting from 121 g of CO₂ per km, figures the company states are benchmarks for the segment.
The DS N°7 incorporates the brand’s most advanced technology, including DS DRIVE ASSIST 2.0, DS NIGHT VISION, DS PIXELVISION, an extended head-up display, and the latest generation of connectivity features. These enhancements aim to provide a comfortable, intuitive, and relaxing driving experience.
The vehicle’s design emphasizes generous onboard space and a refined interior. The launch of the DS N°7 signals DS Automobiles’ continued commitment to the luxury SUV market, a segment experiencing robust global demand. According to a comparison with the Skoda Enyaq, the DS 7 offers substantially more power and is quicker in acceleration, although the Enyaq is rated slightly cheaper.
The DS N°7’s multi-energy platform and aerodynamic profile contribute to its efficiency. The company’s decision to offer both electric and hybrid options reflects a broader industry trend towards diversifying powertrain offerings to meet evolving consumer preferences and regulatory requirements.
