The daughter of Slovak musician Otto Weiterová recently made headlines with a candid account of her recent birth, choosing a home delivery over a traditional hospital setting. The decision, free from medical intervention, has sparked public discussion.
Nikola Weiterová welcomed her daughter, Nova, several days ago but has only recently shared details of the unique birth experience. She opted for a natural, undisturbed delivery in a domestic environment. Responding to questions from her followers, Weiterová openly discussed the length and reasoning behind her choice.
“I was in labor for 24 hours! Almost 30, if you count the initial contractions. I was even at a hockey game with a friend when it started. When I got home, it really kicked in. From Sunday at 9:00 PM to Monday at 8:43 PM when the baby was born. But labor has several levels. I will talk more about that in my next posts. You shouldn’t be afraid, Try to be prepared,” she revealed. Weiterová described the birth as a conscious decision prioritizing peace and natural progression.
“No hospital. No doctor. No medication. No rush. No unnecessary interventions. Just peace. Just trust. Just surrendering to the natural rhythm that my body was created for,” she stated. The birth was not a solitary experience. “Surrounded by the love of my life, supported by the gentle guidance of my birth assistant and doula, I decided to fully embrace this experience – physically, emotionally, and spiritually,” she described, detailing the powerful moments she experienced.
