Nikorn Jamnong Appointed as Bhumjaithai Party-List MP Following Sabida Thaiseth’s Resignation

The Royal Gazette announced on April 3, 2026, that Nikorn Jamnong has been appointed as a Party-List Member of Parliament for the Bhumjaithai Party. The appointment follows the resignation of Sabida Thaiseth, which officially took effect on April 2, 2026.

According to the official decree, Nikorn Jamnong, who was ranked 20th on the Bhumjaithai Party’s candidate list, has been promoted to fill the vacancy. Sabida Thaiseth had previously held the seat as the 5th candidate on the list, as established by the Election Commission (ECT) announcement dated March 8, 2023.

The transition was formalized through a House of Representatives announcement regarding the filling of vacant positions by moving to the next eligible candidate on the party list. This administrative process, as reported by Matichon Online, ensures that the party maintains its proportional representation within the legislature.

The shift in the party’s parliamentary lineup was further detailed by PPTV and noted by MSN. This move underscores the party’s effort to stabilize its presence in the House of Representatives following personnel changes, as noted in reports from Bangkokbiznews.
