Team Ninja is expanding the world of Ninja Gaiden 4 with a new downloadable content pack, offering players more challenging ninja action. The expansion, titled “Double Master,” will be available on March 4, 2026.
The new content continues the main storyline and introduces three new chapters, along with two new weapons – the Snakebone Glove for Ryu Hayabusa and the Solo Scythe for Kasumi. Players can also expect a host of new enemies and bosses to test their skills against.
A new “Survival Mode” called the Abyss will also be included, challenging players to survive increasingly difficult battles. The update also introduces “new special bloodlust and frenzy enemy mechanisms that dynamically change the flow of combat,” according to the developers.
Team Ninja also promises “a variety of quality-of-life improvements, balance adjustments, and bug fixes, including improved combat responsiveness, new weapon move customization options, and fixes across multiple chapters to ensure a smoother campaign experience.”
The “Double Master” expansion is included with the game’s Deluxe Edition, and will also be available for individual purchase. A trailer showcasing the new content can be viewed here.
