Nintendo Music App Adds Hourly Track Feature for Animal Crossing: New Horizons Soundtracks

Nintendo has updated its Music app today, October 31, 2025 at 14:37:00 UTC, to include a new “Play hourly tracks” button for the Rainy, Sunny, and Snowy Day themed playlists from the Animal Crossing: New Horizons soundtrack.

The new feature automatically plays the corresponding hourly track based on the user’s current time of day within those playlists. Users simply open one of the themed playlists and select the new button to activate the function. This addition allows for a more immersive and dynamic listening experience, mirroring the game’s real-time soundtrack.

The Animal Crossing: New Horizons soundtrack became a cultural phenomenon during the 2020-2021 lockdowns, providing a calming and consistent backdrop for many players navigating the challenges of the pandemic. The game itself, and its music, offered a sense of routine and community when many felt isolated. More information about the game can be found on Nintendo’s official website.

The Nintendo Music app is available for download on both iOS and Android devices, offering access to a wide range of soundtracks from popular Nintendo titles, including Nintendo Switch Online benefits. Nintendo has not yet announced plans to expand this hourly track feature to other game soundtracks.
