Nissan has launched the Gravite, a new multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) aimed at the budget-conscious market segment. The seven-passenger vehicle is being positioned as an affordable option for families.
According to Gaadiwaadi, the Nissan Gravite debuted not in Indonesia, but in India on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. The first 1,001 customers will be able to purchase the vehicle starting at 5.65 lakh rupees, equivalent to approximately $105,000 USD. This price point is particularly attractive for a seven-passenger MPV.
Beyond the introductory pricing, the first 5,000 buyers will also receive additional benefits, including five years of free maintenance, financing assistance, and vehicle upgrade options. Nissan appears focused on securing market share from the outset of the launch.

A limited launch edition of 1,001 units is also available, featuring upgrades such as a JBL audio system, ambient lighting, and a dual-channel dashcam.
The Nissan Gravite is powered by a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, producing 72 horsepower and 96 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and an automated manual transmission (AMT).
The manufacturer claims fuel efficiency of 19.3 kmpl for the manual transmission and 19.6 kmpl for the AMT version. Nissan is also reportedly preparing a dual-cylinder compressed natural gas (CNG) option for the manual transmission variant.
The Gravite is built on the CMF-A+ platform, also used by the Renault Triber, allowing for cost-effective production through a high degree of localization.
