Vick and Jackson to Coach Against Each Other at Former NFL Stomping Grounds

Former Philadelphia Eagles teammates Michael Vick and DeSean Jackson will face off as head coaches Thursday evening at Lincoln Financial Field in a matchup between Norfolk State and Delaware State.

Jackson is in his first season leading Delaware State (5-3, 1-0 MEAC), while Vick is in his inaugural year with Norfolk State (1-7, 0-1). During their time together in Philadelphia, Vick connected with Jackson for 13 touchdown passes, forging a potent offensive connection. This game marks a significant moment as both men transition their NFL experience into leadership roles at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), potentially inspiring a new generation of football players.

“It’s a hell of an opportunity to be across the field from DeSean,” Vick said on Monday, according to CBS affiliate WTKR in Norfolk, Virginia. “That’s what I respect. We’ve worked hard for this and we’ll see how it goes.” Delaware State defeated North Carolina Central 35-26 in their last game, while Norfolk State fell to South Carolina State 51-20 in their MEAC opener.
