Erling Moe and Trond Strande are on the verge of taking the helm at Turkish club Kayserispor, according to reports. The pair are currently in Turkey to finalize negotiations with the Süper Lig side.
Moe, who recently managed in Norway, confirmed he was in talks with a new club but refrained from naming it initially. He stated to Romsdals Budstikke on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, “I can confirm that I am on my way to Turkey to see if I can reach an agreement with a club. It is not in order yet, and nothing is happening today. But if things fall into place, it could be clear tomorrow.”
Strande, who previously served as Moe’s assistant at Molde for six years, accompanied him to Kayseri and remained tight-lipped regarding the potential move. The duo arrived in Kayseri on Tuesday evening and were greeted by enthusiastic supporters and club officials, with images circulating online of Moe posing with the club’s scarf, and flowers.
Should they finalize the agreement, Moe and Strande are expected to face Mathias Fjørtoft Løvik’s Trabzonspor on March 9. This move marks another step for Norwegian football figures making their mark on the international stage, as Kayserispor looks to strengthen its position in the Turkish league.
Elsewhere, Rosenborg player Emilie Nautnes is reportedly a target for Spanish club Madrid CFF. TV 2 reports that the two clubs are in negotiations for a potential transfer of the 25-year-old midfielder, who has been with Rosenborg since 2022. Rosenborg’s sporting director, Mads Pettersen, has declined to comment on the matter.
