Beginning March 1, 2026, cancer care services in Jundiaí will be consolidated at the Hospital São Vicente de Paulo (HSVP), according to a recent announcement. This shift aims to enhance the quality and accessibility of specialized oncology care for patients in the region.

Currently, oncology appointments are held at the Women’s Health Outpatient Clinic located at the University Hospital (HU). The move to the HSVP’s Specialty Outpatient Clinic will centralize assistance at a facility accredited as a UNACON (High Complexity Oncology Care Unit), a designation for hospitals recognized by the Unified Health System (SUS) for cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Officials state that this reorganization is designed to ensure patients receive specialized, comprehensive, and continuous care through the SUS. All previously scheduled appointments, including both first-time consultations and follow-up visits, will be honored.

Patients will be contacted directly by the Hospital São Vicente de Paulo team regarding the change of location for their appointments. Social function and psychological support services for oncology patients will too be provided by the HSVP’s Specialty Outpatient Clinic team.

Even as the majority of services will move to HSVP, physiotherapy will continue to be offered, for the time being, at the Women’s Health Outpatient Clinic, with appointments scheduled through the hospital. Surgical procedures will remain at the University Hospital, continuing a pre-existing partnership between the two institutions.

The Women’s Health Outpatient Clinic will continue to offer a range of women’s health services, including family planning, reproductive health care – with specialized care for high-risk pregnancies – cervical cancer screening, support for women experiencing domestic violence, evaluation of reproductive system issues, and care for benign breast conditions.

This consolidation of oncology services represents a strategic effort to improve patient outcomes and streamline access to advanced cancer care within the region’s public health system. Providing specialized care in a dedicated unit can lead to more coordinated and effective treatment plans.
