Targeted Attack in Sabanalarga Leaves One Dead, Another Wounded
A targeted shooting in the municipality of Sabanalarga, Colombia, resulted in one fatality and another person wounded on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 7, 2026. The incident, described as a sicarial attack, took place in the San Carlos neighborhood.
According to witness reports, gunmen traveling on a motorcycle opened fire on two individuals in the sector known as ‘El Puente,’ located along the banks of a stream. Both victims were left lying in the waterway following the assault.
Local residents rushed to assist the victims, pulling them from the stream. While one individual died at the scene due to the severity of the injuries, the other was found to have vital signs and was transported to a local medical facility for treatment.
