On April 26, the Colony Club in Vienna will host the inaugural event for padel enthusiasts.
The Austrian Tennis Federation (ÖTV) is launching its own padel event series this spring, in close collaboration with Breitfellner Padel Projects and Padeltrainer.Academy, and with the generous support of StarVie, CorkPadel, ClutchAI, Erreà Sport S.p.A., and Sportfreunde Vertrieb- u. Event GmbH. The ÖTV Padel Series will kick off at the Colony Club in Vienna-Penzing on April 26.
7 Tour Stops in 2026
The inaugural year will feature a total of seven tour stops. Following the first event in the Austrian capital, the series continues on May 23 in Greinsfurth (Lower Austria). Further stops are scheduled for June 14 in Deutschfeistritz (Styria), July 12 in Vösendorf (Lower Austria), August 1 in Eisenstadt (Burgenland), September 6 in Gössendorf (Styria), and concluding on October 3 at the Padelzone Götzis (Vorarlberg).
Community Focus
The ÖTV Padel Series offers more than just another tournament. The one-day events will prioritize community, family, and a vibrant event atmosphere. An academy coaching session with Padeltrainer.Academy head coach Octavio Santana is planned, alongside racket testing with equipment from StarVie and CorkPadel. Attendees can also enjoy music, a fun tournament, food, and chill-out areas. Each event will feature an AI camera system from Clutch, providing participants and viewers with livestreams, instant highlights, and statistics. The series aims to showcase padel as a modern lifestyle.
Ohneberg: “Must Meet Growing Demand”
Martin Ohneberg, President of the Austrian Tennis Federation, expressed his excitement for the ÖTV Padel Series: “Padel tennis is becoming increasingly popular in Austria and is being offered in more and more tennis clubs. As the Austrian Tennis Federation, we want to acknowledge this positive development and meet the growing demand. This is how the idea for the recent ÖTV Padel Series came about. We are very much looking forward to organizing this event series with Breitfellner Padel Projects and Padeltrainer.Academy, as well as numerous supporters, and to organize it professionally as always.”
