Artist Delivers Passionate Speech, Highlights Challenges Facing Youth

The artist expressed his gratitude, stating, “Muchas gracias a todos, de verdad, and if you thought I was going to say something controversial or about politics, that won’t be the case, because despite what they share you, most people don’t understand or prefer to pretend they don’t,” adding a note of frustration with public discourse. This sentiment comes as artists increasingly use their platforms to address social issues, though often avoiding direct political statements.

He then extended “un abrazo con mucho cariño” – a warm embrace – to his family, and friends.

Pablo Chill-E also offered a shout-out to “all the residences and homes for minors,” specifically mentioning Ciudad del Niño in Hualpén, Carlos Antúnez in Providencia, and San Pedro Armengol, formerly in Recoleta.

He expressed concern that facilities like the one in Hualpén, and previously in Recoleta, are facing closure due to land sales for real estate development. “In this world, there are many who prefer money over improving and caring for children,” he said, adding that this situation is at the root of “the real problematic of drug addiction and juvenile delinquency” that everyone witnesses. The artist’s comments reflect a growing awareness of the social factors contributing to youth crime.

The artist acknowledged children “that nobody remembers,” promising to always retain them in his heart and mind. “These awards are for you, for all the people who have supported me from the beginning… pursue your dreams,” he concluded.
