Comedian Park Mi-sun is sharing her journey through cancer treatment with fans, offering a candid look at her daily life. Recent videos reveal the visible effects of chemotherapy, sparking concern among viewers.
On November 28th, a new video titled “[A Wise Battle Diary-1] Becoming a Cancer Patient Overnight” was uploaded to Park Mi-sun’s YouTube channel, “I am Park Mi-sun.” In the first installment documenting her treatment, Park Mi-sun appeared with her hair still long, but with noticeable injection marks on her arms.
Park Mi-sun openly discussed her physical condition and the treatment process. “It’s called a chemo port. Because the veins can be damaged by the chemotherapy,” she explained, detailing the reason for the port insertion.
When her daughter asked, “How are you feeling today?”, Park Mi-sun replied calmly, “I’m okay for now. My appetite is good. I haven’t started yet. It’s just beginning.” The video then showed Park Mi-sun dozing off, a common side effect during the initial stages of chemotherapy.

On other days, Park Mi-sun found moments of peace reading at a small bookstore. “I came to a small bookstore. Reading and having tea. It’s day three,” she shared. When her daughter inquired about her condition, Park Mi-sun responded, “Surprisingly, it’s going okay. My appetite is good. I haven’t started yet. It’s just beginning.” She expressed hope that she would continue to feel well through the second round of chemotherapy.
She did note, however, “My voice is a little hoarse because my energy is low. Just being able to walk around the neighborhood is a huge win.”
By day nine of chemotherapy, Park Mi-sun enjoyed a relatively energetic day, watching a movie, eating bread, and drinking coffee. “Now I’m going to go play a game. Today my condition is the best. Why? Because your condition is the best two or three days before the second round. If I feel good, I’m going to die again. My voice is back,” she said with a laugh.
As time went on, Park Mi-sun began to experience hair loss, frequently covering her forehead in the videos. “I have my second round of chemotherapy on Monday, so I’m trying to stay home and be careful so I don’t fall or get hurt,” she cautiously explained.
