PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) announced on Monday, February 23, 2026, the appointment of Achmad Muchtasyar as its new President Director. The change in leadership was reported on the company’s official website.
Muchtasyar succeeds Arief Suhartono in the role. Drajat Sulistyo has been named the new Deputy Director of Pelindo.
Four additional appointments were also announced within Pelindo’s directorate: Farid Padang as Director of Commercial Affairs, Prasetyo as Director of Business Development, Hendri Ginting as Director of Institutional Relations, and Prasetyadi as Director of Operations.

Profile of Achmad Muchtasyar
According to Pelindo’s official website, Muchtasyar previously served as Director of Infrastructure and Technology at PT PGN Tbk from May 2021 to November 2023, and as Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of ESDM from January 2025 to February 2025.
Most recently, he held the position of Deputy Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga from July 2025 to February 2026.
Muchtasyar has a diverse academic background, completing a Professional Engineer Program at Gadjah Mada University in 2023, following a Bachelor of Law degree from Bhayangkara University in 2020.
He also holds a Master of Industrial Engineering from the University of New Haven, earned in 2000, and a Bachelor of Petroleum Engineering from Trisakti University, completed in 1997. This appointment signals a shift in leadership for the state-owned port operator as it navigates Indonesia’s evolving maritime sector.
