Penta Zero Wins First WWE Title, Defeats Dominik Mysterio
Penta has captured his first championship in WWE, defeating Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship. The victory marks a significant milestone for the wrestler from Ecatepec, Mexico, as he reaches the top of the card in the American wrestling giant.
“Finally it came true, the dream that wasn’t just mine, but of many Mexicans, of many fans, tonight it was achieved. Let me tell you one thing, wrestling is like life itself, no matter how many times you lose, they kick you or you fall, if you believe in yourself every day this is the result, the gold, never stop believing in yourself,” Penta Zero Miedo said after winning the Intercontinental Championship.
Despite constant interference from The Judgment Day – specifically Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh – Penta managed to overcome the odds and secure the win. The match showcased Penta’s signature moves, which have earned him a devoted following within the WWE Universe.
Penta Zero Miedo’s journey to the championship has been marked by overcoming injuries and setbacks, raising questions about his ability to succeed within the company. However, he persevered, ultimately triumphing over Mysterio.
Even with the support of The Judgment Day at his side, Mysterio couldn’t prevent Penta Zero Miedo from dominating the match and ultimately earning the championship. In a dramatic finish, as a member of The Judgment Day attempted to attack Penta with a hammer, the Mexican wrestler countered with a dive onto his opponents before returning to the ring to force Dominik Mysterio to submit.
Following the victory, Penta celebrated with the crowd, performing his signature “Zero Miedo” gesture – raising three fingers and then flipping them to form an ‘M’ – a symbol he’s carried with him throughout his career.
