ResetEra reports that Naughty Dog, the studio behind The Last of Us and Uncharted, released a remastered version of The Last of Us Part II in 2024 and is currently working on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
Santa Monica Studio, the developer of the God of War series, released God of War Ragnarok Valhalla in 2023 and is confirmed to be working on a God of War trilogy remake, as well as a new, unannounced project. Sucker Punch Productions, known for Ghost of Tsushima, is preparing to release Ghost of Yōtei in 2025 and Ghost of Yōtei Legends in 2026.
PlayStation’s year-end wrap-up for 2025, available through January 8, 2026, allows players to review their gaming achievements, including most played games, total hours played, and trophy milestones. The PlayStation 2025 Wrap-Up also provides insights into accessory usage, such as PlayStation VR2 and the PlayStation Portal remote player. The wrap-up feature is available to players 18 years or older with more than 10 hours of gameplay on PS4 and/or PS5 consoles in 2025. The feature highlights the growing trend of personalized gaming experiences and data-driven insights within the industry.
2025 saw the launch of several notable games, including Ghost of Yōtei, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Blue Prince, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
