Poco is gearing up to launch the X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max, with battery capacities now officially revealed. The novel devices are expected to arrive as successors to the Poco X7 lineup, building on the brand’s reputation for delivering value in the mid-range smartphone market.
The Poco X8 Pro Max will boast a substantial battery, with capacities varying by region. Some markets will receive a model with an 8,500 mAh battery, while others, including India, will get a larger 9,000 mAh version, according to GSMarena. Both versions of the X8 Pro Max will support 100W fast charging, and also offer 27W reverse wired charging.
The standard Poco X8 Pro will feature a slightly smaller 6,500 mAh battery. Like the Max version, it is also expected to support 100W wired charging, GizChina reports. This focus on large battery capacities suggests Poco is aiming to address a key consumer need for all-day battery life.
Early leaks also indicate that both the Poco X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max will feature 1.5K 120Hz OLED screens and could offer up to IP69K ingress protection ratings, Gadgets360 notes. The X8 Pro Max is anticipated to be powered by a flagship chipset.
The devices are expected to launch in global markets soon. The X8 Pro Max is likely to serve as a direct replacement for the Poco X7 Pro, signaling a continuation of the brand’s strategy to offer competitive specifications at accessible price points.
