The Centre Culturel Perenn in Cléguérec, Morbihan, is offering a moment of sensitivity and warmth with the poetry performance Parce que les vers n’ont pas besoin de pieds pour s’envoler (As Verses Don’t Need Feet to Fly), scheduled for Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
An Immersive Experience
Created by the Jo coop cie, this event, open to all ages, will be presented four times throughout the day: at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. Admission is free, but reservations are recommended.
At the heart of this creation, Jean Quiclet shares a touching personal journey: as a child, he disliked words and reading. Today, he’s a passionate advocate for poetry. The audience is invited to settle into an intimate and unique space, resembling a poetic igloo. Within this cocoon, the performer recites texts, plays with books, embraces silence, and invites audiences of all ages to listen attentively.
With humor, delicacy, and emotion, the performance celebrates the power of words and the joy of sharing them, offering an immersive experience for everyone. This event underscores the enduring appeal of spoken word and the arts in local communities.
A Poetry Poster Exhibition
Complementing the performance, the Centre Culturel Perenn is also hosting the exhibition Point (s) de vue | La poésie s’affiche ! (Point(s) of View | Poetry on Display!), which will be open to the public until March 28.
The exhibition presents a visual journey through poetic posters, blending poems by contemporary authors, texts by children, and creations from writing workshops. Each poster invites visitors to view the world from a different perspective, exploring a range of emotions and imaginations.
Accessible to all, this initiative is an invitation to dream and sensitivity, during the center’s opening hours: Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. To 6 p.m., Friday from 2 p.m. To 6 p.m., and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. To 1 p.m.
